The History and Development of the Lakota Lodge Website

The original website was a very basic but functional at the time. The design was created off of Microsoft Frontpage and is shown to the left. It was a great starting point for the lodge's online information source.

When Joey B. took over the website he gave it a new look and feel with added features. He used Apple's web design program to create and maintain the website. The website now was given the ability to change the whole design for special events like the Haunted Hike. When Joey B. and Mike joined together they added multiple features to the website such as the forum, calendar, and a contact lodge officials script. The design is shown to the left.

Joey B. and Mike decided to adopt a new operating system for the website that would be managed by a administration panel on the server adding many new features such as the ability for committee to update their committee's webspace, a new mailing list program, and improved forum functions. They decided to adopt a new template that would have automatic variations for the header and would be very easy to change more special events. The website is maintained by the Website Committee today. A preview of the new template can be viewed to the left.
