The Lodge Leadership Development is from 10AM March 10th to 9AM March 11th. The flier can be found here.

Whether you have just been initiated into the Order of the Arrow and are trying to make new friends, or you have been active in the Order of the Arrow for years and want to relax, the Lodge Leadership Development is an event for all.  The Lodge Leadership Development is NOT like any other training you have attended in the past for Boy Scouts. It not only develops your leadership skills but also your friendships in the Lodge. For half the day you will be informed on leadership skills which aren't the same old boring lectures in school but exciting learning with games and notable speakers in the OA. The other half of the day you are invited for brotherhood time and that means a "man feast" and chilling with your fellow Arrowmen over X-box tournaments, poker tournaments, along with many other game systems and games. If you can only attend the morning trainings or the afternoon that is no problem, Please come!!!

Lakota lodge would like to congratulate Richie Ferolo and Mr. Mike Tangen on receiving the R.D. Dunkin leadership in service award. They are part of the first class to receive this award. The R.D. Dunkin leadership in service award was designed to recognize those within Section C-7, who have gone far beyond their immediate responsibilities as Arrow men and by doing so have laid a path of excellence for Arrow men to follow.

Lodge Leadership  Development  (LLD)  is approaching very fast. This is an event you do not want to miss. LLD is a weekend of fun and fellowship without the work that comes during the fellowship weekends. If you want to learn more about OA, the lodge, or are just looking to have a lot of fun, then LLD is the place for you.

We are honored to have two special guests with us at this event, the current Central Region Chief for the OA, as well as the 2008 National Chief. We also have quite a handful of new trainings that will be taught, including some directly from the 2009 NOAC. This LLD is promising to be very successful and different than previous LLD’s. If you have come to LLD before, you should come anyways to have an entirely new experience.

LLD will be held on Nov. 14th-15th at the American Legion Hall 964 in Lake Zurich. Please plan on arriving around 11 am on Saturday. Lunch will be provided upon your arrival. We would like to begin trainings as soon as possible.

If you are new to the lodge we encourage you to attend! This is a very good opportunity of understanding how the OA functions as well as getting to know some fellow arrowmen of Lakota Lodge. If you are new to the lodge you do not want to miss out on this unique experience.

Please contact me before October 23rd if you are planning on attending Lodge Leadership Development.. The cost is only $7 if you notify us before the 23rd. Any notifications after the 23rd will cost $10. You are allowed to show up on Saturday if you have not told us, but we encourage you to notify us before hand so that we can plan accordingly with the amount of people we have signed up.

If you have any questions regarding Lodge Leadership Development, please contact me at sig1145 at yahoo.com

I look forward to seeing all of you in November,
