Greetings Fellow Arrowmen and Parents!
My name is Mike S. and I would like to inform you of a very exciting Order of the Arrow event that is coming up this summer.....the National Order of the Arrow Conference 2009 which will be held at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana from August 1-6, 2009.
Every two years, Arrowmen from around the country have the unique opportunity to gather together for the National Order of the Arrow Conference, commonly referred to as NOAC. NOACs generally have over 7,000 Arrowmen in attendance who share a common goal: fun, fun and more fun. Each time a conference is held, Arrowmen from around the nation gather at a major university to share their ideas on lodge leadership, activities, and ceremonies as well as participate in a large variety of competitions. This six day adventure is unlike any other event in Scouting and is limited to only members of the Order of the Arrow.
We will be holding an informational meeting for all interested youth and adults considering attendance, on Wednesday, January 7th, 2009, at the Northwest Suburban Council Office located at 600 Wheeling Road in Mt Prospect. We will begin at 7:15 PM.
